Weather
Weather words are nouns. Describe them with an adjective and no es:
| Angin barid. | The wind is cold. |
| Yuki asul. | The snow is blue. |
| Din garam, rat barid. | The day is hot, the night is cold. |
| Yuki sundar! | The snow is beautiful! |
But say what something is, and es comes back:
| Yuki es akua. | Snow is water. |
Right and left
| Dom mi yamin. | My house is on the right. |
| Market kiri. | The market is on the left. |
| Mano yamin, mano kiri. | Right hand, left hand. |
| Anda yamin, plis. | Walk right, please. |
yamin comes from Arabic yamīn, “the right hand” — the same word that named Yemen, the land on Arabia’s right.
Long and beautiful and easy
| Din cang. | The day is long. |
| Rat cang. Mi espera. | The night is long. I wait. |
| Dugu mi sundar. | My sibling is beautiful. |
| Amadunia asan! | Amadunia is easy! |
Five new verbs
This heading said four until September 5, 2026, and the closing line named the same four — kimbia, to run, was taught in the table above, shown in the last row below, and left out of both counts.
| Mi buka telefon. | I open the telephone. |
| Yu faham? | Do you understand? |
| Mi studi Amadunia. | I am learning Amadunia. |
| Kita espera dugu yu. | We are waiting for your sibling. |
| Anak kimbia hayai. | The child runs fast. |
espera is Spanish and Portuguese esperar, to wait and to hope — the same root that gave Esperanto its name, “one who hopes”. Amadunia takes the word and keeps the hope.
With tense
Nothing new. The particle goes before the verb, and the verb never changes:
| Mi suda studi. | I learned. |
| Yu saufa faham. | You will understand. |
| Ta-ta suda espera cok. | They waited a lot. |
| Anak suda kimbia sub. | The child ran down. |
