Three degree words, all before the adjective


lebi	more	Dom ini lebi kabir. — This house is bigger.
kurang	less	Dom ini kurang kabir. — This house is less big.
paling	most	Dom ini paling kabir. — This house is the biggest.

They stand where cok stands, in front of what they scale. lebi has been in the language since Lesson 16, where it scaled a noun — lebi ca, more tea. It scales an adjective the same way.

Than is dari


Dom mi lebi kabir dari dom yu.	My house is bigger than yours.
Ca ini kurang garam dari ca itu.	This tea is less hot than that one.
Mi lebi hayai dari dugu mi.	I am faster than my sibling.

No new word. dari has meant “from” since Lesson 15, and using “from” for the standard of comparison is what Arabic (min), Persian (az), Turkish (-den), Hindi (se) and Indonesian (daripada) all do. Roughly half the world already says “bigger from you”.

As … as is kadar


Dom mi kabir kadar dom yu.	My house is as big as yours.
Mi hayai kadar yu.	I am as fast as you.

kadar is Arabic qadar, spoken natively in Turkish kadar, Urdu and Hindi qadar, and Persian. No degree word is used with it — equality is not a degree.

With verbs

The same words work on a verb, in the adverb slot:


Mi kara lebi dari yu.	I read more than you.
Ta rabota paling.	She works the most.

Open questions

Superlative among a named group — “the biggest of the three” — has no form yet. paling kabir dari tri is untested.
Whether two degree words may stack. Lesson 18’s conversation read Cok lebi hao for “much better” until September 4, 2026. cok, lebi, kurang and paling all stand in the same slot in front of what they scale, and nothing grants putting two there at once. The line now reads Lebi hao, which says less. Found by reading the lesson rather than by a check, and left open rather than granted.

This page was doing it too. The row above read Ta rabota paling cok, “she works the most”, two slots deep — on the page that says nothing grants two. Corrected September 5, 2026 to Ta rabota paling, and a check now refuses the shape. One hit in the whole repository, and it was here: the corpus never stacked them, only the page arguing about them did.
